Swachhta Udyami Yojana (SUY)
(i) Objective
The main objective of the Yojana are as under:
(a) To create appropriate infrastructure for promotion of mechanized cleaning.
(b) To create facilities for collection of garbage from the source.
(c) To create self and wage-employment opportunities with a sustainable remuneration for the members of the Scheduled Caste communities engaged in sanitation and related entrepreneurial activities.
(ii) Eligibility
Annual family income of SC Beneficiary should be up to Rs.3.00 lakh.
(iii) Unit Cost
The unit cost of the project could be up to Rs.15.00 lakh.
(iii) Quantum of Assistance
NSFDC provides loans up to 90% of the Project Cost or 100% on refinance mode.
(v) Interest Rates
NSFDC shall charge interest @ 2% from the SCAs/CAs, which in turn, shall charge 4% from the beneficiaries. In case of women beneficiaries, an interest rebate of 1% per annum is provided.
(vii) Repayment Period
The loan is to be repaid in quarterly installments within a maximum period of 10 years from the date of each disbursement including moratorium period.
